A downloadable prototype for Windows

Does randomness aid the player by decreasing the amount of choices they have to make, or does it hinder the player by adding chaos to elements that the player wants to control?

This RTS Balancing prototype was made to explore the above question by measuring players' responses to the different game modes.

In one game mode, blocks are given to the player in a Tetris-style fashion. In the other, players can choose which blocks they shoot. Players then add blocks to the platform attempting to keep it balanced.
